The numbers for the Monday’s drawing were red Powerball 2, white balls 5, 8, 9, 17, 41, and no ticket matched those numbers. The projected jackpot value was $900 million.
The new jackpot will be the third-largest in American history for the drawing on Wednesday, and it will keep increasing until someone wins. A lump sum payment of $1 billion as an annual wage boost or a one-time payment of $516.8 million before taxes are the options available to ticket holders.
According to lottery authorities, three people each won $2 million for matching all five numbers and the Power Play. Sales of the winning tickets took place in Texas, Georgia, and Arkansas.
Each of the five winners received a $1 million prize after matching all five numbers. The winning tickets were bought in Pennsylvania, Florida, New York, Kentucky, Connecticut, and Florida.
