Inditex intends to reopen its Ukrainian locations.

Beginning on April 1st, Inditex, the Spanish parent company of well-known fashion brands like Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, Zara, and Bershka, plans to progressively reopen its stores in Ukraine.

On Friday, Inditex confirmed that the concept was genuine and that the opening of the stores will depend on local market circumstances. Safety for both customers and employees is the primary objective.

Uncertainty persists despite reports that Inditex had originally planned to reopen roughly twenty stores in the Kiev area. Fifty of the roughly eighty former Inditex stores are expected to reopen under the new labels in the coming months. Zara’s parent company intends to carry on with its internet business.

Inditex stopped its offline and online business operations shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022. The group’s activities in the Russian region were also suspended until further notice, along with the closure of all 502 outlets. Ultimately, by the end of October 2022, Inditex sold its whole Russian company.
